Two sample short courses are now available for consultation.

Other subjects will follow as they are reviewed and developed.

In 2011 we will be looking for your views on Physical Education and the Science subjects, followed by English, Irish and the Modern Languages.

School network on developing science assessment at senior cycle

The NCCA will work with a network of schools during the school year 2009/2010 to show what the assessment proposals look like in action and to produce examples of types of practical assessments, including questions, tasks, marking schemes, and video footage. As part of the work, teachers from the network will try out the examples with students in their schools. These real examples, generated in an Irish context, will allow the implications of changes to assessment to be explored and tried in a variety of school settings and situations. The examples generated will then be included as part of the consultation on the revised science syllabuses.
